Acacia Gum

Acacia Gum is a water-soluble carbohydrate derived from the sap of the Acacia senegal tree. Acacia Gum has proven prebiotic and bifidogenic effects. Acacia Gum promotes the growth of Bifidobacteria, Lactobacilli, and other Lactic Acid Bacteria in the gut and supports the gut barrier by encouraging the development of specific strains of beneficial bacteria that produce gut-nourishing short-chain fatty acids.

Natural Sources: Acacia Gum, also known as Gum Arabic, is a natural gum consisting of the hardened sap of two Acacia tree species, Acacia senegal (now known as Senegalia senegal) and Vachellia (Acacia) seyal, native to parts of Africa, Pakistan, and India.
